Verizon's Upcomin Rumor???

As I heard a rumor, the reason to cut down antenna TV was so wifi can be broadcasted b/c all the frequencies are freeed, as optimum wifi had already, I'm just making sure that verizon is also doing the same, am I right? Thank you for responding anyone, I appreciate it.

I believe with the cut out of analog TV freed up the 700mhz spectrum. And that was auctioned off in parts, last summer. And part of that spectrum was to go to a public wifi, that I understand would be free. But I would not count on the speeds being top notch or anything. But is so early in the development of it there really is little to no info on it yet, and done expect it anytime soon. Its not just a light switch when one goes out the other one will come on.
