I've stumped the Tech Support guys at VZW....I'm on a family plan with my daughter as the primary account holder. It's HER name that's sent with the outbound caller ID, not my name or even just the phone number. Spoke to Tech Support for quite a while & they can't figure out where the caller ID name is coming from! No name is present in the phone signature and Verizon says they DO NOT send the Caller ID name....???? Really??
This number has been in use for several years on the same Verizon plan and was NOT ported from any other telco. Until recently, caller ID showed only the cell number and "Portland, OR". Recently something changed somewhere to have the primary account holders NAME show up.....and evidently, it can't be changed. This is just silly....grrrr.
I only want the ablity to display either just the cell number or my own name (since it's my phone...) on outbound caller ID. Any advice or help is appreciated!
