So I just got Verizon Fios installed at my new apartment, and ever since it's been set up, the wireless has been dropping signal on my laptop very often. I also have a Xbox and a Playstation connected through internet, and I havent detected any drop in connection on the wired consoles. However, I have another bedroom with another PS3 on wireless and it drops me out of game a lot when playing on their network.
So it must be the wireless only. The verizon box is in the upstairs bedroom, then goes to splitter which goes off to the upstairs cablebox. Then it goes into another splitter downstairs for the router and the HD DVR box. Are two splitters too many? Does anyone have any recommendations, or should I just call out the tech and let him take a look at it.
PS: Also, some of my HD channels drop picture quality every now and then, and sometimes dont even work at all. Especially ESPN HD and ESPN 2 HD. That might be further clue that the signal strength to the router and downstairs box isnt strong enough.
Thanks!
