Unable to receive a text message from only 1 person but they can receive mine!

Just yesterday night my Lg Ally stopped receiving text messages from my girlfriends phone. Just earlier that day I was able to receive them. This is the first time my phone has done this. I have taken the battery out and turned my phone off. Nothing has worked. She can receive my texts but I can't receive hers. She can call me and I can call her it is only texts. Please help me to get this problem fixed.

we have the same problem with 2 of my wifes friends; she can text them but they cannot reply or text her; my daughter also is having problem with texts. my wife has talked with a level 3 technician 4 times and they cannot find any problems.

verizon told me that it was only happening to old altell customers and that there techs were working on it. but he told me that something crashed within the hour and there were fixing it...
