I just noticed that my connection went from grabbing files from the netherlands on a linux debian site ftp.nl.debian.org at 2000k/s to 20k/s i did a trace route and noticed this:
7 0.ge-7-1-0.BR2.LAX15.ALTER.NET (152.63.116.161) 8.533 ms 15.800 ms 15.910 ms
8 ge8-3-10G.ar4.LAX2.gblx.net (64.212.107.121) 9.787 ms 16.006 ms 16.115 ms
9 64.209.105.158 (64.209.105.158) 179.522 ms 186.009 ms 186.115 ms
10 AE2.500.JNR01.Asd001A.surf.net (145.145.80.78) 180.983 ms 186.215 ms 186.317 ms
11 * UTwente-router.Customer.surf.net (145.145.4.2) 189.048 ms 189.143 ms
Is this outside of something verizon can repair or has anyone heard of any line problems? BTW loving fios got it here in Upland, Ca on dec 24th!

Yeh, that's wayyyyy outside the verizon network...somewhere in those tubes called the internet...if you want to persue this further, I would read up on those bandwidth providers.

Looks like someone out there has some really bad routing tables.
TheBurner
Everything im checking in .nl it seems the bad hop is coming from LAX so not sure how far outside that is verizon network. Hopefully it repairs soon:)
TimSykes
If it is a routing table issue it should be refreshed between 3 and 7 days.
TheBurner
Tim thanks alot i sure hope it is a routing table issue then its only been 3 days now.
