Want to receive full size pix on my Omnia

Please forgive my ignorance, but I have searched for a while without finding the answer to my questions. (Possibly I found them but am too ignorant to understand that I HAVE found them).

I'm trying to receive a decent size image (75K) on my Omnia, so that I can view it there. (it's a map that I'll use a lot; I want to view it on my Omnia).

From my home computer (and I've tried from two other computers as well), I send it to my MMS as follows: mytendigitphonenumber@vzwpix.com

I receive the message, which claims to be about 12K. Sure enough, its resolution is way too feeble for me to read text on the map.

The Omnia is perfectly capable of displaying a 75K image (or 3M, for that matter).

So I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I've read some threads that say you can retrieve full size images from Pix Place. My questions:

(a) Can I retrieve ON MY OMNIA from Pix Place?

(b) What/where is Pix Place? (Does it cost extra?)

you can set up an email account and mail it to the omnia

or connect to the pc via usb and copy to it

its been a while but i used both methods when i had mine

email account...yes, I see that I have set one up, and occasionally I have received email (including a big picture) there. So I see that this is a possibility. I'll probably wind up marking your answer as a Solution--I thank you very much!

Yes, connecting direct to pc works in this case. But I'm trying to understand how someone can SEND me a big pic, and I can receive it. Sending to email would work. (except that I don't seem to be able to fetch some more email--that's a different topic: my ignorance about my email capability)

So, does your answer imply that I cannot receive a large picture via MMS? My MMS Options... says that Message Size is 495K. I wonder what this Option means...

the size limit is a function of mms

there may be third party apps that change this, check the market
