If I switch from Showtime HD channels, I lose sound and/or picture

This is really driving me mad. If I am watching any of the Showtime HD channels, and switch to another channel that isn't Showtime, I lose audio. Then I'll lose video, too. I then have to shut the box off and on, and sometimes it will come back, or I have to wait several minutes. It's only when switching from Showtime HD!

do you have a home theatre set up? this trick may work for you. give it a shot and let us know.

All I can say is WOOOOWWWW!

I thought I was the only one to have this problem,I called tech service and they said they never heard of this problem

I don't have a home theater and it only happens with Showtime HDTV channels to non-Showtime Channels

What I do when I lose sound is go back to the Showtime channel and when the sound comes back then change the channel again.

I am not losing video but I lose audio when switching from Showtime HD to another channel. I have to turn off my TV and FiOS box wait a few minutes and then turn everything back on. I do NOT have a home theater. What type of TV's do you have? Its shouldn't matter but who knows.

Format of the connection between the STB and your TV is important to know ... since different connection methods can result in different results. Can you post what your connectivity is between your STB and the TV? HDMI? Analog Video / Digital Sound, All Analog?

If it's HDMI, can you try the procedure indicated in the linked post earlier in this thread. Your TV could be having the same negotiation issues that a Home Theater exhibits.
