Unlimted 4G Package Would be $129 ($89+29+$10)!? And Sprint is $69 for the Same!?

Can an admin PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong on this? So, you're telling me, for the Spint's $69 unlimited talk, text and data... the Verizon equivilant would be:

$89 (unlimited talk/text)

$29 (unlimited data)

$10 4G premium fee

$128 ON VERIZON!? When I could just pay $69 on Sprint? Are you guys out of your minds?

I'm beyond frustrated after talking to a 611 rep today, asking her about various nickle and dime rates, comparing it to Sprint's locked in monthly rate. With no answers other than, "Well you can upgrade to x-amount of texts" I kinda threw my hands up in the air and asked why in the hell I'm stlil with Verizon? I reminded her of the disparity in rates, to which she replied, "Well, we're reinvesting in our 4G network." Um... oh? Okay then, great... passing it off to your customers is a "great" reward for loyalty... but she was nice though... isn't the "customer service" also why we love Verizon so much? Smiling while they deliver bad news?

My God, this really has gotten out of hand. I've been loyal for far too long. They don't even give you a legacy discount or anything, everything's stock with Verizon. I'll take a few dropped calls on Sprint rather than paying an extra $59 a month to stay on Verizon for the SAME package.

Again, please correct me if I'm wrong or PLEASE give me an amazing sales pitch to keep me.

ps, another rep told me that there's no difference in 4G and 3G speed (LOL!!), you guys might wanna get some of them up to speed a little more on the tech.

id rather pat vzw knowing that i can get service anyplace i go in the us.

Sprint's $69 plan is NOT unlimited talk. It is only 450 minutes. However, Sprint does have an unlimited talk/text/data plan for $99.99/month. But they also require a $10 'premium data' add-on fee for all 4G phones same as Verizon plans.

To the best of my knowledge, Verizon hasn't yet announced 4G data rates. While I'm not shocked to see a complaint prior to actual prices being launched, it would seem to be a much better use of your time to wait until you have some FACTS to complain about.

Geez-us, relax dude. Yes, Verizon's network is the best, no question, I'm just asking these questions for clarification. You sound like a 'fan boy' though.

I'll check though because this guy I work with just jumped ship and loves his service. He told me his plan is "unlimited" across the board, which is what their commercials sound like.

What am I missing that isn't a "fact". It's $89 for unlimited talk and text. It's $29 for data, no matter the phone you have. I spoke with the service rep right before I posted, which is what I was/am upset about. She confirmed that the data would be $29 and unlimited would be $89. The only "fact" in question is the $10 service fee... which is a strong rumor, since other carriers have it too.

I do not dispute your Verizon figures. You state however that you could pay $69 for the equivalent with Sprint when this is totally false. As stated, Sprint's equivalent unlimited 4G coverage is $109.99 (over a $40 difference). Those are hard facts taken directly from the Sprint website, not rumors .

The FACTS are that Verizon has not released official information on ANY of it's 4G plans. It is likely that voice and text pricing will stay the same, but this is not for sure. When they release the 4G data plans, they may also require subscribers who want to use them to choose different plans for voice minutes and text messages, we have absolutely no way of knowing at this point what the exact details are.

We'll have some facts to evaluate once the LTE roll-out happens.

I've been debating whether i should stay with verizon or switch to sprint. However, i love the family plan with verizon because Sprint's family packages is too expensive in comparison. I think i'm gonna hold my upgrade until verizon 4g comes out. i just hope they won't make us pay any additional fee. because Sprint does charge an extra $10 on top of their unlimited date package.

Like the previous people stated, 69.99 does not give you unlimited everything.. While it might be a bit cheaper, you're getting less coverage (current and future). VZW voice/3G wins against Sprint, and so will LTE coverage/speeds. WiMax is slow and probably will not develop nearly as fast. Sprint has to deal with Clearwire and I'm sure they both have their own interests for where/when/what happens with WiMax. VZW owns the entire 700mhz band for LTE and is building from the ground up, and will probably have the entire country on LTE with VoIP within 4-5 years. Sprint has already mentioned that they will probably eventually go LTE, so why waste time on WiMax? So they can slap 4G on their commercials and appease some customers for a few months until LTE passes them up and then blows them out of the water by the time Sprint catches up on the LTE end.

Personally, do what you want. Money is a big issue for everyone. You're paying more money for a reason and if you don't feel you're getting the best value, then leave. Follow your best interests. But to ask VZW to bring it's prices down on their superior product doesn't make sense at all. Speculation is pretty pointless on the 4G prices at this point anyways.

450 "anytime" minutes as well as free minutes to non-Sprint phones 7p-7a and weekends

There is a $10 fee for Evo.

Verizon?

$10 (heavily rumored) fee for 4G (which isn't as fast as Sprint's at the moment, but will be faster later)

I don't mean to whine but, c'mon, $79 vs $108? If Spring has to build their network, shouldn't THEY be the ones gouging their customers, picking up the slack from a lack of market?

Is Verizon $29/month better!? I love my service but I just wish they'd get more realistic with their rates... they have the largest marketbase and still charge the most? Why? With most business models, when you increase your customer base, you should eventually be able to start lowering fees... which entices more customers. And people can't say, "Well, it's a superior product." DirecTv is faaaaaar superior to Dish Network, yet, they are lower in price in most categories even though they dominate the dish market.

Just sayin'... let's not drink the Kool-Aid. Verizon is great but they're exceptionally overpriced for what we get.

I'm waiting for the moment you realize you're comparing Verizon's 3G prices to Sprint's 4G prices. If you're upset now, that might break your brain.

(Verizon hasn't released 4G pricing yet.)

I started with T mobile stayed with them for years. Then was swayed away to Sprint's Simpley Everything plan. No matter how good the price is on a plan it's worth nothin if you can't get it most of the time. I bought outta my contract with Sprint and am now with Verizon. I did my research. They were always ranked tops in reliability. 2nd only to T Mobile in customeer service. I was tempted to go T Mobile they are a lot cheaper with no overage (a concern of mine) but a look at their formum will tell you there's lots of prob with mobile broadband not being available. Net search shows same. Some times you really do get what you pay for.... I'm happy. Verizon has took better care of me than I ever expected. Even did some trouble shooting and downloading for me 2 days in row on different computers. You can't beat that and even with low signal I'm online here. Doin a Happy Dance....

You do understand that is takes $$$ to build out a network PROPERLY and with sufficient bandwidth? LTE 3GPP R8 has more bandwidth per sector than Sprint's WiMAX and VZW will be doing proper engineering to create sufficient bandwidth for the UE (User Equipment) or end-user devices. This means fiber back-haul at nearly all cell-sites.

I notice this posted twice on two different threads; both with incorrect facts, and neither has to do with 4g. Looking at the the websites for Sprint and Verizon would help you accurately compare prices. You are on Verizon's website now, are you not? Hope this helps;
