I posted a public complaint about a FIOS issue (http://forums.verizon.com/t5/FiOS-Internet/Verizon-Cancelled-Service/m-p/602395#M39773), and Verizon Support moved it to a private thread for resolution. The last comment from someone at Verizon was on August 2nd, and encouraged me to post an update if I didn't receive a call from customer support by the end of the day. This didn't happen, but I cannot update either the public or private thread because they have been locked for reasons I am sure I will never understand.
You need to respond in the private support case that was opened for you. As of right now, it's showing "awaiting customer response". If you do not reply in the private support case, it will be closed out for non-response.
The initial thread will remain locked until the support case is resolved to prevent others from posting issues in the same thread.
As I stated in my original post here, I cannot post an update to the private thread as instructed. It doesn't seem to matter though, because somebody called me within 15 minutes of me opening this thread.
