Longer Cable from Basment to First Floor

I have my TV & Internet connected in one corner of the first floor family room, and I'd like to move it. The problem is that the cord/cables in the basement aren't long enough to reach from where it's connected in the basement. Rather than buying a smaller connecting piece, I just want to replace the entire cable. I need some help with exactly what type of cord to buy, and where, as well as any adapters I may need. I'm not sure what type of male/female ends I'd need.

Also, I'm mounting my tv on my fireplace mantle, so any advice on extending the other cables (red, yellow, white), would be very helpful.

The description of your wiring is not sufficient. It sounds as though you have a single coax cable running from the basement through a hole in the floor and in to the family room. Since you mention both TV and Internet, is sounds that the basement coax connects to a splitter, with one leg running to the STB/DVR and the other to the router.

However there is no point speculating on your wiring because there are too many possibilities. Please provide a detailed description of your setup, and I or another user will then try to offer useful wiring advice.
