Is anyone else having problems with Palladia HD? I live in the Northern Virginia Area and the channel always comes in with broken audio and picture and is impossible to watch......
Anyone know how to fix this?
Well what you want to do is tune it to palladia, and then press menu > customer support > in home agent > network diagnostics and then hit ok to start.
When it's finished it will tell you that your video signals are fine, or they are not operating in the right range.
After you see that message hit info on your remote and it will give you more technical details. So get that info and post it here. Most important is that first line that says your dB SNR and it has a number
you want to be 32 db and above for a good signal that doesn't break up or get garbled audio. If you're below that, then you have a cabling problem, and you want to refasten your coax cable's. that just means unhook them from the back of the box and then rehook them back in nice and snug, you also want to do this at the wall outlet or the splitter that it connects to.
after you do that run another test, and see if the number improved. Once you get it above the sweet spot, you'll be smooooOoth sailing.
If the number already looks good, then you want to do an auto correct on the box. menu>customer support>in home agent>stb auto correction.

In addition to doing these signal checks I suggest you go ahead and check the cabling even if the numbers are acceptable. Impacts of a poor connection can be intermittent and be impacting only a given channel or two due to the QAM frequencies involved and the physics of them. The numbers may be fine but intermittent poor connections, mainly due to temperature variations and corrosion, could be causing this type of problem -- it doesn't take much to glitch a digital stream. I've seen it many times on my own set up. I live near the ocean in California and the salt air plays havic with connections. A little bit of corrosion goes a long way, and re-seating a connector often elminates the connection problem. Just a suggestion.
Yes!
I too am from Northern Virginia, and I am having problems with 711 Palladia HD, I also seem to have the same problem with 631 velocity. All the other channels work great. but Palladia is a real bummer.
I have recently had my STB box replaced, but the problem is exactly the same.
It is not my cable as all the hundreds of other channels are great and most display almost blue ray quality.(Really I can't tell the difference), I have a 54" Vizio.
The guy from Verizon seems to think that they are having poor reception from those particular station vendors, I have to agree. So until Verizon implements an SLA with these stations, I think we are stuck.
Let me know if you also have issues with Channel 631...
Thanks

This is the case with me as well. I have a 50/50 chance of anything i record off Palladia being completely unwatchable garbled mess or black screen, while other stations including HD stations come in clear, which wouldn't be happening with a bad connection on my end. The other half the time Palladia looks & sounds great. Please fix the problems on your end Verizon & stop trying to blame customers first for weak quality control on your end. The troubleshooting guide should start with in house infrastructure first & then work your way to the customers local setup.
thanks!
