I got my April bill notice email on 5/4/2018. I found the rate increased from $59.99 to $84.99. I called customer service immediately. The rep helped me to sign a new 2-year contract to keep $59.99 rate. But Verizon still charged me $84.99 in April. When I called back, I was told the April bill can't be changed and no credit can't be given and I should call in March, one month before my contract expired. In March email notice (same as all other month notice), it only tells you how much you will be chanrged and no expiration info was mentioned. If I want to know the expiration info, I have to login to my web account, go to bill/ bill history/download 2018 March statemant and find such info on page 2... very complicated!
I think a lot of customers will be charged high rate for one month in this way even if they sign new contract immediately after they see new high rate.
So please send customer a special email one month before a customer's contract expired. Or at least, add expiration info in the email notice monthly.
Thanks!
