I leave my tv on for my dogs when I go out but in the last month the set top box turns off by itself. How do I stop it from doing that?

Settings >> Set Top Box >> Sleep Timer.

Just one little addition to the above fix: you may have to scroll up from the default setting of 4 hours to see the setting you need - None.
