On one of my HD DVR STB's I cannot pause or rewind live TV. I can do it on my other HD DVR STB. Is this a sign of the box going bad or is there something else? I can pause or rewind recorded programs but not live.

Did you try recycling the dvr by unplugging it for 30 secs then plugging it back in?
Is the hard disk / DVR storage full? I'm not 100% certain that would matter, but it makes sense in my head.
