Picture keeps blacking out

I have an issue where the picture and sound go away for a second or two intermittently. Its definately related to the DVR cable box because I tried to watch a dvd on the tv and used different hdmi ports on the tv and had no problem. Tried to do live chat but it suddenly decided that it wasn't available when I sent my question even though it said it was when I started my question.

I had a similar issue that went away when I tried a different HDMI cable. The old one apparently had a connector that cause an intermittent disconnect. You might start by reversing and reconnecting the HDMI cable (this worked for me for awhile), and if that doesn't work try a different HDMI port on the TV (which I couldn't do but I tried a different port on the intermediate Denon receiver which didn't help). The third solution (which worked for me) was a new HDMI cable.
