Fios iPad 2 App

Ever since I had my service installed a year ago, I have never had problems with the internet or TV. But when installed the fios app on my iPad 2. It works for a while and then I find myself just looking at a black screen that says buffering for 10 minutes or so or an error message that says there's a network connection problem. When in fact my iPhone 5 is still connected as well as my laptop. I've been trying to shut down the app and restarting it, My question is, is there a way to fix this without having to mess up my wireless installation?

Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.verizon.net my ipad is also set up this way

Incoming Server Port Numbers: 995 ALSO USED WITH MY Ipad

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.verizon.net my iPad also set up this way

Outgoing Server Port Numbers: 465 ALSO USED WITH MY Ipad

PROVIDES GREATER PROTECTION FROM SPAM AND VIRUSES.

Make sure "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" is checked.
