transfer programs from old Motorolla QIP 6416 to new QIP 7216

I have ordered a new set top box! Yeah!

But I don't want to lose the programs that I have already recorded.

Should I have the technician do this, or can I?

It is not possible to transfer recorded content from on STB DVR to another.

PJL said it. Unfortunatley you can't import already recorded shows on new dvr's. You can import some settings on most dvr's, but you can't transfer anything already recorded to the dvr's hard drive to a new one.
