I am currently abroad for work and I can't find anywhere on the Verizon website if there is an additional charge for sending or recieving text messages to/from US numbers while I am here. Anyone know the answer? Thanks!

For both types, it appears that the rates are $0.50 for messages sent per address, and $0.05 for each message received.
Regardless which type of phone you have, I believe that you would have had to have global roaming capabilities activated before you left the US. Otherwise, you will have to call Verizon and have them activated.
