I HATE VZ TV SERVICES

VZ is the most cumbersome and awkward TV programming I have ever used. When I scroll through the channels on my HD box or my convertor for the other TVs, it goes thjrough every single channel VZ offers whteher I am subscribed or not. I can shange it to subscribed on the HD box but it still lists MANY channels I am supposedly subscriebd to but when I click to view them it says I need to pay. ALso there are so many of the VZ advertising chanenl to upgrade internet speed, add home monitoriong, and other VZ useles crap that I can only actually view about 30% of the channels listed even in subscriebd mode. It is HORRIBLE. How do I find out when my contract is up so I can go back to Comcast., theya re so superior to VZ that it isnt even close.

I agree that the special upgrades are overkill on the channel guide. The filter for subscribed channels is also useless as I always had channels I didn't get listed. I now have the Ultimate package so no more of that problem. At one point it worked, but with the last few guide updates and constant channel changes, add ons, etc. it seems its a dead feature until they fix it.

I still prefer fios over any other company I've ever had and I've had almost all of them since I've moved so much.

Comcast sucked when I had them, but maybe they are good where you are. I know each company varies where one lives.

You can easily see how long you have left on your contract by signing into your account on verizon.net and going to "manage my services". On that page you should see your bundle details and "see my agreement". It should say exactly how long you have left or you can click on the link.

No matter what i do, I het endless channels in that I am not subscribed to when I surf the channels. I have found no way at all to fix this blatant bug wit the small boxes on my secondary TVs. Supposedly changing to 'only subscriebd channels' will fix it on te main box but i still get a huge number of channels that I do not subscribe to as well as the endless UPGRADE NOW spam channels.

Anotehr glaring weakness with VZ remortes and cable boxes is that if you are surfing about the time that progrmas change (e.g on the half hour) and you surf to a cahannl that looks interesting, you click OK to view it and the guide has not caught up to the live show. So you get some other detail screen to pop up and the only way to get out us EXIt back to the current show and hen start surfing all over agin. God the guide and boxed at VZ suck wet dirt.

If any of my programmers turned in work as shoddy as this for production they woudl be fired on the spot. I still want to knwo what it costs to get out of my contract. VZ TV sucks THAt badly. I am going to leave just need to knwo what I need to send in to break my contract.

I tried chatting but got some {please keep your posts courteous} on the lien hwo had no idea what to do.
