I pay a rental fee for the DVR and I pay for FIOS programming. Why do I have to put up with advertising pop ups when I hit the DVR button on my remote. When I push the DVR button it should go directly to the DVR options.

They can be eliminated with the following menu settings.
Menu > Settings > Television > Interactive TV > Disable
Menu > Settings > Television > Recommendations > Turn off
Menu > Settings > Television > Promotions > Disable
Menu > Settings > PopUp Alerts > Enable Options > Never show me again
