I have tried resetting the remote and the dvr box. I was on vacation for two weeks. previously both remotes operated the tv and the dvr. Now neither one does. Suggestions?

If this doesn't help, post back here which remote control you have, and whether it does not control the STB, the TV, or both.
How old are the batteries?
