Trouble with 2 stb's

My Hd stb has been giving me a message every morning for the last 6 days that says, "Installing updates, this will take a minute. When it does come on the TV freezes on one channel for a few minutes. One of my regular stb's for the last 3 weeks needs to be unplugged every morning for it to work. No matter what time it is before unplugging the box it says 6:10

The box will work fine for one day after doing that.

When I try to auto correct the box I get a message that says, no connection can be found. Please call for assistance. I called 3 times and after being on hold forever I get hung up on. I rebooted the router and unplugged the boxes but nothing seems to work.
