Outrageous June 2013 rate increase with no notification!

Only Verizon would jack your rates up 20% (on my FiOS Internet/phone bundle) without even the courtesy of an in bill notification. Even Comcast and DirecTV (equal low lifes) send an email with the good news. This is probably the last straw. There are better deals out there.

That truly does not sound right but thanks for the warning. Everyone should check their bill online before paying it IMO. I was mad when a $5 per month credit was dropped but I was on FIOS and the discount was for DSL only.

Any chance this happended when an original agreement ended?

Cox increased my bill by 32% without warning.

To be fair to them, part of the increase was a discount whcih had expired and they aren't obligated to compensate for my forgetfulness. But I'm glad the increase was such a shock as it forced me to look at Verizon. Internet, TV, and phone are all signifcantly better. And when the discounts go away, I'll still be getting more for less than what Cox wanted.

My 20% increase was applied 6 months after my promo rates expired, so I was back to full price. A correction somewhat- I did get a 60 notification of the increase but I had to go find the .pdf of my paper bill. It's devious, they bug you until you agree to get a streamlined statement online and then only provide inportant notifications on the paper bill....amazing, like they don't have my email address???

Devious is an understatement. It is true....they will increase your bill without

warning. This is a new wave of corruption.

Mine initially increased by approximately 20% and after expiration (no specific

date online or on the paper billing), the approximate increase - 50% from actual

billing.

What is wrong this picture? Stock compensation.
