I have had Verizon FiOS for a year now. I have been pleased with the service thus far, however, I can no longer afford to pay so much for TV and Phone, two things I rarely use. So here I am trying to downgrade from 25/25mps internet down to 15/5mps. On verizon.com it states that under a two year contract the 15/5mps internet should only be $49.99/mo. In fact it later breaks down this deal into a 12 month credit for -$20 off your bill and a 12 month credit for -$10 off your bill. Yet some how I spent 6 hours of my time talking to representative after representative, about how I could make this switch. The answer I finally got was "Sorry, we can not offer you the online pricing over the phone." So what they implied I should do about this was to cancel my existing service and place a new order online to start the day my current service ends. This of course requires me sending back my router to Verizon only for them to package up a new one, send it to me, set it up, and reconfigure all my wi-fi. Talk about in-efficient and clear respiration of how Verizon looks at the environment. I am very dissatisfied. I simply want to sign another two year contract of services and receive the pricing shown online with out having to send back my router ( a point-less wasteful act ).
Any help would be awesome,
