Slow internet speed

All right, so my download; ping; upload speeds are great and stuff, but just to load a webpage is terrible. Every time I try to load a webpage, it takes more than a minute. It's really annoying when I have work to do and I need the internet to help me, what can I do?

Things that can cause that:

The internet route you are on to get there could be having problems. If this is a new problem that may be the cause.
Pages with a lot of graphics can take a long time to load if the computer's ability to process graphics is limited. That could be due to limited hardware capability or other programs running.
The website may be experiencing a high traffic load. Some popular sites have recurring problems keeping up with demand.
Sites which are ran by third parties seem to be more prone to this problem. Especially if that thrid party is providing service to multiple customers.
Sites which have a low demand sometimes don't invest in the server capacity needed.

If you post the link to some of the sites you are having problems with we can test them and see if it is a site problem.

Is this a problem with wired or wireless connections, or both? You don't say.

If you get good speeds on a wired connection, but not a wireless connection, that isolates the problem to wireless

Have you gone to VZ's speedtest site and tested there?

If your speeds are good there (using a wired connection), then the problem is outside VZ's network.
