I have spent more then 1 hour ojn the phone just to have someone tell me that in order to get a higher capasity DVR I would have to pay a one time $49.99 Upgrade fee. This is an unfair fee and I will not pay it. I am looking to other internet/TV companies at the moment and will swicth soon.
I have the 7216 which restarts occationally while watching as well as makes a good amount of fan noise here and there. I pay a monthly rental fee for this DVR. FOr the DVR aloine in the past 4 years I have paid a grand total of $815. Just to rent the DVR. I should NOT have to pay extra for an upgrade. This is old technology that still only sort of works. With all the high def shows there is not enough room on this tiny hard drive. I think all existing customers should get a FREE upgrade.
Since no one can help me I am switching soon. If a FIOS rep wants to see if they can help me personally I am all ears. Waiting on the phone to talk to someone who can't help me isn't going to happen again. Im done with that.
