I have a M1424WM\R modem my Wi-Fi is very slow How can I get an upgrade
The number you provided coves a range of models. The letter at the end of the model number actually tells what generation your router is. Rev I is the lastest and greatest at this time.
You can either find the revision on the label, or on the admin interface (192.168.1.1) click on System Monitoring. What model name and Harware version do you see there?
Having said that, what exactly is "very slow?" How are you testing your speeds and what numbers are you getting?
If you use the same device, Mac or PC, connected to the router via Ethernet, what speeds do you get at www.speedtest.net?
Answering those questions may help a fellow user here suggest a solution to you. You might also read the informative sticky post at the top of this forum for more detail about slow WiFi:

If you do not have a Rev I router you can go to the Verizon teleproducts page and order one. https://teleproducts.verizon.com/fios/index.cfm/eh/DisplayProducts?LOBCode=C&PromoTCode=A0760&PromoSrcCode=V&POEId=VU1SP&CMP=DMC-A0760
