Is there a way to turn off the constant Verizon pop-ups that suggest turning on Widgets or joining CNN on Twitter? It seems like no matter what channel I'm on, the "widget reminder" pop-ups are unending and I consider them an intrusion.

On the STB menu, Settings >> Notifications >> disable Popup Alert, Recommendations, and Promotions.

Go to: Menu > Settings > PopUp Alerts> Enable Options And select Never show me again.
Go to: Menu > Settings > Television > Promotions And select Disable.
Go to: Menu > Settings > Television >Recommendations And select Turn Off.
Some users have an updated version of the software, so if your available options don't match those, scroll through the menu options for something similar.

The OP is located in Los Angeles (VHO3) which has the updated IMG software. The instructions I provided are valid for them.
The settings for these annoyances are now consolidated in one area which makes them easier to find.

But I continue to get the pop-ups! What next to try?!

I would recheck the PopUp alerts option, enable it, then do the Never show me again option. If that doesn't work, I would run the process Customer Support >> FixFiOS TV Issues and then check the options again.
You are in the same VHO3 as I am with the same software load and I do not receive these popups.
