Really slow downloads

I went to download CakePHP from www.cakephp.org this evening and it was really slow. I took a look at it's being pulled off of RackSpace via TeliaSonera. Using a proxy via Above.Net, no issues.

I then went to pull a copy of GIT repository off of bitbucket and it took forever as well - that one via NTT. Again, proxy via Above.net, no issues.

So, I know Verizon has publically acknowledged issues with Cogent. Are there issues with NTT and TeliaSonera? This is getting really bad.

I just downloaded a copy of the software from GitHub as you've done. The file originated from codeload.github.com which goes from Verizon right to Level3 for me. The program took 3 seconds to download, which is due to my connection speed.

Try downloading it again tonight and see if the site you pull the file from is codeload.github.com . If it is, try tracerouting it.
