We signed up for FIOS in April 201o, after waiting several months for the other part of the {please keep your posts courteous}, Comcast, to fail to install any. At that time, we were given the dubious option of choosing between two hacks, either MSN or Yahoo, for our e-mail "service," apparently because Verizon lacked the competence to support its own. We were subsequently told that Verizon had pulled the rug out from under Yahoo subscribers but were given no acceptable means of correcting this blasphemous association. In addition, I insisted from the start that there be absolutely NONE of the arbitrary, incompetent "spam filtering" on my account {edited for privacy} by EITHER Verizon OR Yahoo, but Yahoo has gone against my demands and is now determining that tons of spam constitute legitimate e-mail, while denying me access to ticket responses from my web hosting service which it, in its infinite lack of wisdom or even a modest clue, determines to be "spam"!
I have wasted over 7 hours, beginning with Rakesh and Kamur, getting phone numbers ostensibly to Yahoo that request my AT&T phone number, along with one phone number that tells me to call 1-800-yahoo.com which, when dialed without the non-existent dot on the keypad, connects me with a sex-talk hotline!
I am fed up with the incompetence, the runaround, the lack of 24/7 service for 24/7 e-mail, and the totally arrogant {please keep your posts courteous} attitude of EVERY player in the piratization of the Internet my tax dollars have paid for since the 1960s!
And {word filter avoidance} am I spending over $600/month to be treated like one of Verizon's moronic employees?!
