Samsung UN65FH6001 not compatible with P265v1 RC Remote - audio

Just purchased a Samsung UN65FH6001 (65" LED) TV. Following the instructions for programming the P265, it will turn it on and off however the volume control from the remote only advances or retards the volume one step for each depression. This is crazy!!!

What is the solution to fixing the volume control so that it increases and decreases continuously when holding the volume control buttons down?

I tried all the methods from Verizon as well as those online.

There are multiple SAMSUNG settings. I know I had to change to one of the others on the remote to get it to work. Sorry, don't remember the number i had to use for my Samsung to get continuous volume to work.
