Contract ends in 6 days - new package?

I have been waiting for my Fios thriple play to end as I feel that both Fios and Comcast have better deals now then when I signed up. Will Fios match prices/negotiate? Any success stores from people in the past? I don't really need the phone as we use our cell phones for everything.

Why price increase and then less channels????
This is abusive!
Espicially when TV adds offer no term, HD included, lower cost, 12 mo. movie pkg., etc.

You locked us in when we renewed, then changed the plan !!!!

I seem to be having the same problem...
Last year I was able to renew from the original HD double play bundle to the Extreme HD bundle for the advertised price (the price for new customers).

My current contract ends in 14 days, so I called and they will only give me the Ultimate HD bundle for 114.99, instead of the promotional price of 99.99 for months 1-6, then 109.99 for months 6-24. They won't include free DVR or HBO/Cinemax for 3 months either (as the promotion states online). I find this to be quite odd and frustrating as Verizon is now turning into a generic cable company that screws with its current (and loyal) customers. The media has praised them for their month to month plans, however, now it gives them an excuse to pull the same garbage as Comcast.

I guess I will have to get quotes from Comcast and see what Verizon can do. I have been a huge FIOS supporter for over 2 years now, but this situation is leaving me to believe they aren't as great as I once thought.

Yes I have the same problem, Old customer has to pay more than new customer. Only way to do is cancel and contract back as a new one.
