I cannot get to the http://www.brokenlinkcheck.com/ website anymore.I wonder if it is a DNS problem at VZN or Verizon is blocking this site for some reason?
Thanks in advance!
That link works here, both with and without Verizon's own DNS servers.
Still not working for me :
C:\>ping www.brokenlinkcheck.comPing request could not find host www.brokenlinkcheck.com. The problem seems to be with Verizon DNS server 71.250.0.12 (nsnwrk01.verizon.net ).
It is set the first on my FIOS router, and it says:
C:\>nslookup www.brokenlinkcheck.com 71.250.0.12Server: nsnwrk01.verizon.netAddress: 71.250.0.12*** nsnwrk01.verizon.net can't find www.brokenlinkcheck.com: Server failedC:\>nslookup www.brokenlinkcheck.com 68.237.161.12Server: nsnyny01.verizon.netAddress: 68.237.161.12Non-authoritative answer:Name: brokenlinkcheck.comAddress: 96.43.131.30Aliases: www.brokenlinkcheck.com
Several users have posted suggestions to move away from Verizon's DNS servers, suggesting Google's DNS and OpenDNS. You could try those.
Myself, I peridodically run DNSBench, freeware from Steve Gibson, to see what DNS servers look good here. I'm currently using Verizon's 151.202.0.84 and 151.202.0.85.
I noticed that your router's address is 192.168.3.1. I assume you have some reason for not using the default 192.168.1.1, but are all the other devices you're using assigned the 192.168.3.x subset?
Here's what I see if I ping brokenlinkcheck.com:
Pinging brokenlinkcheck.com [96.43.131.30] with 32 bytes of data:Reply from 96.43.131.30: bytes=32 time=52ms TTL=247Reply from 96.43.131.30: bytes=32 time=52ms TTL=247Reply from 96.43.131.30: bytes=32 time=56ms TTL=247Reply from 96.43.131.30: bytes=32 time=51ms TTL=247

I could not get to the website yesterday but it is working today. I am using Verizon's DNS servers.
