...and I'm getting nowhere near that speed. I upgraded from 25/5 to the 75/75 Quantam, along with a free upgraded router. All I did was switch out the cables and power sources for the router, and the new router started working just fine.
Excited to see what the speed test would show, I'm actually getting lower numbers on this new router/service than with the old router/service. Like I said, nothing changed but the router--the connections are all the same--but I'm seeing worse connection speeds. Test by Ookla used to have me at right next to 25mbps regularly, but when I switched out to the new router, my connection isn't getting above 18mbps.
Is there a period where I have to wait for Verizon to notice that I have the new router hooked up to get the bump in speed?
