Hi everyone. I need your help because Verizon is obviously not helping me. Any comments, suggestions are welcome.
So when I signed up for fios and internet last Febraury Verizon charged me a $250 security deposit on my credit card. I was told I would receive my deposit after one year of service and all bills are paid on time. Well, I paid all of my bills on time and now it's Sept. and still NO deposit. I've called and spoken to customer service on many many occasions and all they do is transfer me from customer service dept. to the finance dept and back and forth and everytime they tell me they will call me back but NOTHING. I've asked to speak with supervisors and higher mgmt but still the same crap.
I'm pretty sure I've spoken close to 20-30 different reps now and everytime I ask them for a phone number for me to call them or an email address to contact them back because I am tired of having to explain myself over and over again, they tell me they don't have a direct line or email, which I find ironic because they work for a communication company.
Anyways, here is my situation, the credit card I used at the time is now canceled. The cust. serv. reps I've spoken to said if my card was canceled the refund would've bounced back and a check would've been mailed. Well, I've received nothing in the mail. Like I've mentionend before, I've called Verizon numerous times and the info. is never the same. One day they will tell me the refund was already sent, another day they tell me they see the refund on the account and it has not been refunded and they don't know why. I told them if they supposedly refunded my money to my canceled card, then they need to show proof that they did that so I can go to my bank. When I ask for proof they tell me they can't send me anything. I"ve called my bank and my bank did an investigation and they have no record of a refund to my canceled card.
Have any of you guys experience this? What are my options? I don't think I'm asking too much. All I ask of Verizon is if they truly refunded my deposit, to send me proof and I can deal it with my bank yet they cannot give me anything. I'm so tired of Verizon! I can't wait for my contract to end so I can leave them.
