Can someone please provide me with information on any alternatives to my SD Set Top Box.
The SD Set Top Box I have does not give me access to my HD channels.
Verizon has several HD box options. Visit the MyVerizon page or give them a call / chat and find one that works for you.

I greatly prefer to see thigs in writing. Unfortunately I have been burned by people telling me of a product's benefits and when the product turns out not to have them its, "Oh well, I don't know who told you that." Or "Sorry, but they were mistaken. I prefer to be able to see my options, evaluate tham at my leisure, and then make a decision.
I just, IMHO, got burned on buying a new router from them and do not want a repeat performance.
That's why I asked for something in writing on optional boxes.

FYI, you are talking to other customers here. If you want official information from Verizon, you need to check out their web pages or contact them.
That said, if you have specific requirements for an HD box, tell us. There are lots of well informed users here. There is a good chance someone here can tell you if a particular box can do what you want.
Since lots of the STB features are software controlled, it's unlikely you'll get much detail from Verizon other than terms like HD, DVR and multi-room DVR. The users here are quite well acquainted with the boxes and their quirks. Give us a try.
If you'd like to revisit the router issue, that too is something lots of folks here know about. Start by telling us which router you bought (Actiontec or Quantum, I'm guessing) and what feature(s) you got burned by. Maybe there is a way to get what you want.
Enjoy.
