501?

How do I chnage my settings so my tv doesn't tune to channel 501 automatically when I turn on my tv?

I found it. Settings>media server settings>power on channel

Under settings there is an option as to what the power on challe should be.

It is either FIOS 1 or default. Default appears to be the last channel viewed.
