Constant noise coming from new Arris box. Is this normal? I cannot have this in my bedroom if it will constantly make the high pitch, always on, noise.

Sounds like it's either dirty or has a bad fan. Should be BARELY audible from a foot or so away. Try blowing vents out, if it doesn't help, get a replacement.
