Slow Response Time from input of Remote

Why is there such a slow response time between my remote and the TV/Set box? It takes at least 5-7 seconds for the TV to even respond when I hit the guide button. It is like this on all of my set boxes. Is there a way to fix this? My friend has Fios, and her the response time with her unit is super fast!!

Try rebooting stb.

And check to make sure nothing is obstructing line of sight to stb.

I have rebooted all the set boxes and it is still the same slow response time between remote and set box. I can stand right in front of the box, without any obstruction and there is no improvement in the response time. What should I do?

Do you have fresh batteries in the remote? Also make sure the plastic sensor in the front is clean.
