Hello,

I recently cancelled my internet and phone service with Verizon during the first month period. I did not sign the terms of Service, I recieved the letter to sign, but i did not due to my internet constantly cutting out, and home phone never even working. When i contacted Verizon to cancel, the representative assured me that i would not be charged for the first month of service since i had cancelled 4 days prior to the 30 day mark. Today i recieved a bill for 118 Dollars.

Last week i recieved a letter to send back my equipment.

So does anyone know exactly how this works. If you signed up for a agreement and cancelled within 30 days, do you still get charged?

Any information or personal experience is greatly appreciated.

It should be prorated. If you did not agree to the terms of service, you cancled the account without penalty. You should still pay for the almost 30 days of service you did receive. Be it good or bad. You can argure that the service never worked or was very poor. But you did have the service for almost 30 days, and I suspect they will want to be paid.
