Trying to contact customer service

I changed my phone plan about a year ago and asked for the least expensive plan possible. Little did I realize I was being charged .32/minute for any call outside my local dialing area. I am in a rural area so this constiuted about 10 sq. miles.

I finally spoke with someone last week (30 minutes on my work cell-phone) about this and found I can get regional calling for a lot cheaper and was told I would be given an 80.00 credit which has not happened yet. The agent agreed with me and did not understand why I was not offered this better plan the first time.

I would switch to another company but verizon is my only option at this time so I am stuck. (again I am in a rural area)

Customer service is terrible but people have little choice in certain situations. I was taken advantage off to increase your company's bottom line.

they overwhelm you with pages upon pages of useless information so you can't find what's important. Then, when (if) you finally figure it out and select the right thing, they say "but our records show something else", and since you didn't record your call or take screenshots of your online sessions you have no proof and you have to pay.

and when you finally get through to a human, you get disconnected (?!) or the menu ends in "You're not authorized to call this number" message.

Considering it's a phone company, there shouldn't be any phone issues on their end, so it must be that they just don't want to talk to us..
