Private school accessing text message content remotely?

My friend is a student at Notre Dame Prep School in Michigan. The disciplinarian at her school claims to be able to read the content of any student's text messages by accessing records directly, instead of just confiscating phones and examining them. Is it possible that this private school can access Verizon text records? I don't mean the records of who a student has been texting, I mean the actual content of these text messages.

2. No. Not possible to view text message contents without a court order, and no one is going to grant one of those so a school can monitor its students' communications illegally.
