I am disabled and can not drive, my husband passed away, I am in Virginia, my children are in Indiana. I am approved for a mortgage using 'alternative credit' meaning a good payment history with my monthly bills but the mortgage company requires a letter from Verizon on their letterhead with the following:
In the last 12 months:
Number of times payment made on time____
Number of times payment received late____
Number of times disconnect notice____
Number of times service disconnected for non payment____
I have NEVER been late on a bill!
I have spent many many hours on the phone trying to communicate with Verizon and everyone gives me the same answer...they can not help me. No one has the capibility of writing a letter.
Is there no one at Verizon with a secretary? Is it impossible to be moved up higher in the employee statis to someone who can write a simple letter?
Can anyone please offer me some guidance on how to deal with this problem. Closing on the house is in 9 days and I don't know what to do, I've tried everything short of an attorney and I'm seeing one tomorrow.
This seems like a simple request from someone who has been a good customer. I don't understand how Verizon can be so uncaring of it's customers. I didn't exactly go hungry this past winter but I did have a few scares. And I'm scared now. Please someone help me!
Thank you
Teresa
