Price to upgrade DVR

I'm looking on-line at the price to upgrade from an old "Multi-Room DVR" to "Multi-Room DVR Enhanced Service" and have a couple of questions:

- What is the purpose of the $50 one-time "equipment upgrade fee"?

- Why would the price of Triple Play increase from the current $165.99 to $205.98 in the shopping cart? This is just the Triple Play, not equipment fees, etc. Why should Triple Play cost more with a new DVR?

Are you under contract? If not, it could be that it is sending you to a new package price.
