NO! This is a Phishing attempt by hackers. Delete it, DO NOT RESPOND TO IT

Thanks! I thought it was weird - but being new to verizon wasn't 100% sure.

Yep, Verizon will never ask for your password. (They already have it. =P )

In addition, if you read the message closely, you will notice numerous gramatical and syntax errors. Any message being sent to a large customer base, will not contain such poorly worded content as it will likely have been reviewed numerous times prior to being sent to insure there are no mistakes or items which lack clarity. This is almost always a tipoff to any message which is not legitimate. That and any message which ask you to give the provider account information is always bogus -- they already know who you are and have the ability to change or access any information you have on their systems without needing you to provide them with that information.
