Why Did Verizon Send Me a Copy of "Maxim"?

Is there a particular reason Verizon sent a copy of "Maxim" to my home?

While it's not a BIG deal, I really think that this magazine is enough of a, shall we say, "special interest" publication that Verizon should NOT have sent it to me unsolicited. If this "gift" is meant to entice me to re-up when my contract expires suffice it to say that I'm more convinced than ever that Verizon is a company I want to be very careful about doing business with.

Is there a way I can try to insure this doesn't continue?

I also hope this serves as a warning to other subscribers that you really never know what Verizon will send to your home, whether you asked for it or not.
