I've been having internet connection problems for weeks, where it keeps dropping the connection to a Limited connection. After weeks of research and trying everything possible, I've finally figured out there is a conflict with the Set Top Box. If this is refreshed and you are using On Demand or the Guide features, it drops my laptop internet connection. If I reset the router and don't use the Set Top box features, then my internet stays on at excellent strength. Please someone help, is there a conflict here? It feels like the internet is only allowing one or the other device to work.
I'm using the Actiontec Verizon Fios REV I Wireless N Router (Gigabit Ethernet). I do have other wireless devices like a tablet and 2 iphones. None of these drop there connection, which is why it took me so long to figure out the source of the problem.
Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
