computer crashed, now no phone, tv, or internet. Could it be related?

I am in the process of rebuilding my computer. All of a sudden we lost fios yesterday. We tried the battery reboot, but no success. I have a red light on FAIL on the FIOS box. Is this purely coincidence or could the home computer cause this? I should state the crash had everything to do with old age of home computer not FIOS.

Perhaps all caused by a power spike. Also possible your computer when it failed sent current down the internet cable, but I would expect the router to take the brunt of such a incident.

Seconded. If the ONT won't boot completely and just gives a FAIL light, a Power Spike might have taken out the ONT with it, if it had taken the PC at about the same time. Stuff happens. Just need to repair the PC and get Verizon to come out and troubleshoot/replace the ONT.

Sorry, I shouldn't have called it a crash, I was in a hurry and it was the easiest thing to type. I did a clean install of a new OS and am slowly bringing that computer back to speed. Because I have other computers in the house this has not been a high priority getting it back and running. My concern is after a week, all Fios operations have stopped working. The computer being rebuilt was the one with the Verizon software on it. However if that software was critical, I would have thought it would have stopped working after the clean reinstall and not a week later. And why would the software be critical for phone or TV operations?

No. I still have no phone, Internet, or TV. Verizon is coming on Monday.
