7100p1 vs. 7100p2

I'm ugrading my dinosaur 2500 boxes soon and am wondering if the new HD boxes above are capable of 1080p? I just want ot make sure to get the newest one since I need new ones anyhow. Is there more of a difference here than just the clock and color of the p1?

And I have to admit I have no clue what I just asked.. all I know is that 1080p is the highest setting people seem to want..

7100's can not do 1080p. The quantum TV service boxes (more cost) can.

7100p2 are smaller, use less power, have more internal memory, use a slightly newer version of some chips, but have no Visible clock/channel display.
