Suddenly, the buttons on my remote control have stopped working. Instead, pressing any button brings up the tv's menu. Not the FIOS menu, but the TV's menu.
I have tried turning the tv on and off, but that has not helped.
I spoke with a Verizon representative on their chat box, and got him to send me a new remote control. It fixed the problem.
What model remote do you have (2 button or 4 button)?
If 4 button, try hitting STB button.

I am not sure what you mean by two button or four button. Mine has about 100 buttons. 🙂
I do have an STB button, so I guess that means 4 button.
When I press the STB button, it does bring up the normal Veriizon message when you do that, but it is overlaid with the TV's menu.
